Who Am I?
Hello, my name is Helen, and I am a HCPC-registered Chartered Organisational Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (AFBPsS) based in Sussex, England. With over twenty-five years of experience, I help individuals, leaders, and organisations unlock their potential through applied psychology.
My career as a psychologist began at Scotland Yard with the Metropolitan Police Service in the late 1990s. This was followed by a decade working on high-profile assignments with the London Fire Brigade, including supporting the organisation through the significant challenges that followed the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
In 2013, whilst my two sons were still young and I wanted greater flexibility in how I worked, I decided to establish my own practice. Since then, I have worked across a diverse range of sectors, from complex government organisations to global financial institutions, multinational corporations, and innovative technology start-ups.
Today, I specialise primarily in Neurodiversity Assessment and Workplace Profiling, Leadership Profiling, Executive Assessment, 360° Feedback, and Executive and Group Coaching. Whether supporting a senior executive navigating complex leadership challenges or helping a neurodivergent employee thrive in the workplace, my focus is always on creating insight that leads to meaningful and lasting change.
I believe that most people are capable of far more than they realise when they have the right understanding, support, and opportunities around them. This is one of the reasons I remain fascinated by Organisational Psychology. It sits at the intersection between work and the self, helping us understand how our strengths, challenges, relationships, and environments influence the way we think, feel, and perform.
For me, the most rewarding part of my work is helping people better understand themselves, unlock their potential, and thrive both professionally and personally, whatever stage of life they are in.
I welcome the opportunity to discuss your current situation and explore how I may be able to support you. I work remotely and in-person, at my office location in central Brighton, Sussex.
Psychological Insight. Practical Impact.
My approach is based on rigorous scientific evidence. I incorporate principles from many areas of psychological research.
I adhere to a regulated Code of Conduct and am registered with the HCPC, BPS, and ABP. I am an accredited individual and group coach; having trained with both The Tavistock Institute and KDVI.
I choose to partner with organisations that genuinely value their people and are committed to creating psychologically safe workplaces where employees can perform, develop, and thrive.
About Chartership
In the UK the title Chartered Psychologist is legally protected, and can only be used by those who have achieved all the necessary qualifications. To protect the public, The British Psychological Society has been authorised by the Crown to set up and run the Register of Chartered Psychologists.
The title Chartered Psychologist is legally recognised and before admission to the Register individuals must:
Have a recognised first degree in psychology.
Have recognised postgraduate qualifications, or have undergone approved postgraduate training and supervision and have been judged ‘fit to practise’ independently.
Have agreed to follow a strict Code of Conduct and be answerable to a disciplinary system, in which non-psychologists form the majority.
